What is EverRail?

EverRail is an open-world survival crafting game set on the frozen exomoon Inara. Your moving train acts as your base, shelter, storage system, and primary source of energy while you explore a procedurally generated world.

Players travel alone or in online co-op, raid abandoned facilities, fight robotic enemies, gather resources, and rescue passengers. Each passenger represents another life, so repeated deaths can eventually end the entire journey.

EverRail Beginner Guide

Learn the core survival loop before beginning your first journey across Inara. This guide covers train movement, energy management, scouting, expeditions, crafting and the passenger-based respawn system.

1Keep the battery-powered train moving because it functions as your home, factory and life-support system.
2Use the glider to scout the procedural frozen world and identify facilities, railway routes and useful locations.
3Leave the train for on-foot expeditions to gather supplies, technology and crafting resources.
4Return to the train, craft equipment and expand its interior before attempting more dangerous expeditions.

EverRail Train Upgrades

Discover how locomotive upgrades and additional wagons turn the train into a larger mobile fortress. The module covers speed improvements, interior construction, storage expansion and train-system upgrades.

LocomotiveUpgrade the locomotive to improve the performance of the train, which can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h.
WagonsExpand the train by adding more wagons and redesigning their interiors for crafting, storage and survival.
StorageBuild storage structures in multiple sizes to carry resources, food, batteries and expedition supplies.

3Collect valuable ISO Gas while scouting the frozen procedural landscape.

EverRail Passengers Guide

Passengers are not ordinary NPCs because each survivor represents another playable life. Rescue additional passengers during expeditions to increase the number of times the journey can continue after a death.

1Search abandoned and dangerous locations for survivors who can be rescued.
2Bring rescued passengers back to humanity's moving refuge aboard the train.
3When the current character dies, continue the journey by taking control of another passenger.
4Protect the remaining passengers because the run ends when no survivors remain available.
